About this event

Perfect for kitchen utensils, knitting needles, pencils and paint brushes, even basketry tools! What will you put in yours? If you've ever fancied a go at basketry, our relaxed and friendly workshops are the perfect way to start. We make a different item each month that you take home at the end of the class. All of our projects are suitable for beginners and the ticket price includes everything you need. Tea and coffee and cakes are also provided, as is excellent company 😁 The project this month is a willow beaker basket. You'll start with a simple track border to anchor the uprights and then you'll learn a locking weave called a '3 rod wale'. The side weave we're using this month is the French rand. We'll finish your beaker basket with a delightful Bretton border. This project is suitable for beginners. PLEASE NOTE: WILLOW WORK IS NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN.
